Chris Gantt-Sorenson is a highly effective trial lawyer, concentrating in employment defense litigation. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and South Carolina Super Lawyers® for Employment & Labor law.

Ms. Gantt-Sorenson defends employers in employment-related claims and litigation—particularly TITLE VII litigation—in venues from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also defends employee benefit plan administrators and fiduciaries in Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) cases brought pursuant to life and disability policies.

She has tried more than 50 cases to verdict in state and federal courts throughout South Carolina.

Ms. Gantt-Sorenson began her legal career in 1991 defending product liability defendants, representing Ford Motor Company and other manufacturers in products-liability and product-defect cases in courts across the state. She also oversaw a team of associates in defending a national retailer in personal injury litigation throughout South Carolina.

She currently serves as General Counsel to the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Gantt-Sorenson had a 100 percent conviction rate in prosecuting drug king-pin cases for the State Grand Jury Division of the Attorney General’s Office from 1993 to 1997.
